During the evaluation you will have the opportunity to discuss your condition and collaborate with your therapist on functional goals that you will meet during your treatment. The initial appointment can be expected to last about an hour.
Treatment courses normally range from several weeks to several months, depending on the severity of your condition. Throughout treatment the therapists will observe your progress and make necessary adjustments to your plan of care in order to provide you with efficient and effective service.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
It is best to wear non-restrictive clothing that is comfortable to move in and to wear closed-toe shoes or sneakers. If you are being seen for your knee, it is best to wear shorts. If you are being seen for your shoulder, a shirt that is loose or has buttons in the front that would allow the therapist to access the involved area would be best.
Will my insurance cover Therapy?
Most major insurances will cover therapy but it will depend on the type of policy you have. Progressive Therapy will verify your insurance but it is ultimately the patient's responsibility to know their coverage. Any co-payments required by your insurance company will be due at the time of service. Any questions regarding insurance or billing can be directed to our Business Office, (434) 392-4910, where our staff will be happy to assist you.
How long will my appointment last?
Typically the first appointment will last about an hour. After your initial evaluation, your therapist will discuss a plan of care with you to determine the duration and frequency of your treatments.
